Giving the GIFT of LIFE:
The next blood drive is scheduled for Sunday, May 28th from 8:30am until 1:30pm in the Saint Kilian's Parish Hall. Mark your calendars and help support this worthwhile cause.
Have you ever wondered what a church usher does? Or what it would be like to help as an usher?
Years ago the primary duties of a church usher consisted of simply escorting people to their seats and passing the collection baskets at Sunday masses.
Today an usher's primary duty is to help fellow parishioners as they come to celebrate mass. Their efforts begin as they greet people entering the church, offering a kind word, handing them a song sheet, and helping those who may need assistance getting to their seat.
Ushers also welcome first time visitors, help those with health issues, offer assistance during Communion, and distribute bulletins at the end of mass.
Being an usher is a service to the parish, to the pastor, and to the congregation and a worthwhile way to help others.
The Saint Kilian's Knights of Columbus provide ushers for all weekend masses in our parish. And as with any volunteer effort, help is always needed and welcome.
Please give some thought to helping as an usher and if interested please contact one of the Council's officers for more details. Thank you!

First of all, a special thank you to all our parishioners for supporting our monthly soup sales.
The monthly soup making season(Oct-Feb) is our largest fund raising effort, which supports many of the charitable services the Council provides to the Parish community
Soup weekends occur monthly from October through February and involve preparing a variety of soups (Wedding, Chicken Noodle, & Stuffed Pepper) on a Saturday morning and then selling it after each mass at Saint Kilian's.
Thanks again for everyone's help and support! See you next "soup season"!
