Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) and Children (RCIC)
Those seeking initiation into the Catholic Christian Community may call and ask about the programs offered for adults or children.
The adult inquiry process is a year-long program. The sessions begin in September and end just after Easter. The reception of the sacraments occurs at the Easter Vigil Mass. Our current RCIA team includes Tom Barton, Amy LaMartina, Deacon David Miller and Linda Prather.
We ask that the family come to the Parish Office / Faith Formation Office for a consultation on what sacraments have not been received. Depending on the age of the children and the amount of Faith Formation that they have received, we may be able to place the children in the sacramental program and do some additional work to prepare them for reception on the sacraments. Preparation of children typically takes a year or two.
If you would like more information about the Rite of Christian Initiation, or if you have any questions, please call the Faith Formation Office at 724-586-7276 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
